About Meenu

I, Meenu Mendiratta, have respectfully retired from a distinguished school in East Delhi, bringing with me over 30 years of experience as an Art teacher.

My teaching philosophy is centered around nurturing creativity, fostering skill development, and instilling a profound appreciation for art. This involves teaching fundamental artistic skills such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and digital art while progressively advancing students' abilities.

Furthermore, I introduce students to diverse artistic styles, historical contexts, and cultural influences to broaden their understanding and appreciation of art across different societies and time periods. I support each student's individual artistic journey, recognizing their strengths, and providing guidance to improve weaknesses.

Creating a positive and inclusive environment is paramount, where students feel empowered to share ideas and communicate their artistic vision.

Throughout my career, I have taught Contemporary Art and various other art forms and crafts to students from classes VI to X.

I believe in aiming for progress rather than perfection. This approach enables children to maintain their progress, celebrate their achievements, and persistently work towards their goals, ultimately striving for perfection.

About the lesson

As an Art Teacher my objectives revolve around nurturing creativity, fostering skill development, and cultivating a deep appreciation for art.
1. Encouraging Creativity: Stimulating and encouraging students to explore their creativity through various artistic mediums and techniques.
2. Skill Development: Teaching fundamental artistic skills such as drawing, painting, or digital art while progressively advancing students' abilities.
3. Cultural Awareness: Introducing students to diverse artistic styles, historical contexts, and cultural influences to broaden their understanding and appreciation of art across different societies and time periods.
4. Critical Thinking and Expression: Helping students develop critical thinking skills by interpreting and analyzing artworks while encouraging them to express their own ideas and emotions through their creations.
5. Individual Growth: Supporting each student's individual artistic journey, recognizing their strengths, and providing guidance to improve weaknesses.
