About June
I am a 21 year veteran teacher and private tutor for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. I retired from teaching in 2019, but continue to tutor. Much of my career I worked with special needs, learning disabilities and gifted students. I taught STEM and art in addition to all subjects K-6, and language arts, science and history to grades 7-8.
I work to understand your learning style and design lessons to help you reach your goals.

I determine what you need help learning and your learning style, then design a plan to help you reach your goal. I prefer to make learning fun while teaching skills to make it easier to understand. A typical session would be reviewing current needs, discussing successes from previous sessions, what worked, then moving on to cover current needs. I check for understanding on given topic, revise as necessary to reach your goal. Every student is an individual and learns their own way, and this is why I differentiate every lesson for each individual I tutor.
I can teach any subject K through 8th grade, with an ELL endorsement. I have 21 years experience teaching and tutoring!
