About Jill
Left hand agility defines my practice. My focus remains on spiccato and staccato bowing, shifting positions, vibrato, scales and arpeggios. Such precision stems from 13 years of dedicated instruction and my 2012 Yale School of Music degree.
I trained in the Italian tradition on violin. Music is a rigorous discipline. My own journey informs how I guide those returning to the instrument.

You will start by resetting your posture. Building a clean foundation allows for more expressive playing as we work through the mechanics of your bowing and intonation.
You might find the process demanding yet deeply rewarding. I focus on specific technical hurdles to help you regain your previous fluency.
You receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to guide your home practice. I charge 7.0 for these sessions. Feel free to reach out to discuss your goals.
