About Briar

With more than 10 years of experience as a Piano teacher, I have taught school students, college students, and working professionals with different musical goals. I enjoy helping students improve their skills and confidence step by step. My teaching philosophy focuses on strong fundamentals and clear explanations. I believe learning piano should be simple and stress-free.

I guide students patiently and encourage regular practice. My lessons cover piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, and theory basics. I also help students develop good practice habits and performance confidence. Lessons are customized based on each student’s pace and goals. Some of my achievements include helping students succeed in academic exams, competitions, and stage performances.

Many students have shown improvement in timing, accuracy, and musical understanding. I also support working professionals who learn piano as a creative outlet. My aim is to make piano learning structured, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for Piano focuses on learning through understanding and practical experience. I believe that music becomes enjoyable when students clearly understand what they are playing. To make lessons relatable, I use real-life examples such as familiar songs, common rhythm patterns, and everyday listening habits. I also share case studies of well-known pianists and real student progress stories to show how regular practice and patience lead to musical improvement.

Understanding is always the first priority in my classes. I begin by teaching proper posture, hand position, finger movement, and note reading. Once students are confident with these basics, I gradually introduce scales, chords, rhythm control, and musical expression. Every concept is explained slowly and in simple language. If a student finds something difficult, I repeat the explanation using a different method until it becomes clear.

Communication in my lessons is open and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions and share their challenges freely. I give clear feedback and practical practice tips after every session. Integrity guides my teaching values. I am honest about student progress, punctual with time, and committed to continuous improvement. Along with piano, I also teach music theory basics, sight reading, rhythm training, and listening skills to ensure complete musical growth.
