About Lindsey
I’m a Rice University student with a background in business, strategy, and communication, and I work with students who are serious about building strong, competitive college applications. I’ve helped students improve their essays, activity descriptions, and interview performance so they present themselves clearly and confidently. Students I’ve coached have gone on to attend universities including UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Notre Dame, Rice University, Georgetown University, and Columbia University. As a teaching assistant for business courses, I’ve learned how to give direct, practical feedback and push students to improve quickly. I focus on helping students tell a clear story about who they are, what they’ve done, and where they want to go. My goal is to make the admissions process less stressful and help students submit applications they feel confident in.

My lessons focus on building strong, competitive college applications — not just editing grammar. We work on the parts of admissions that matter most: essays, activity descriptions, application strategy, and interview preparation.
In our sessions, I help students:
Brainstorm and develop essay ideas
Organize essays so they are clear, logical, and engaging
Edit drafts for structure, tone, and impact (not just wording)
Strengthen activity lists and resume statements
Prepare for interviews with practice questions and feedback
Build a realistic plan around deadlines and requirements
A typical lesson involves reviewing real application materials, rewriting key sections together, and identifying how to make an application stronger compared to others in the pool. I give specific, honest feedback and focus on helping students improve quickly. My goal is for students to leave each session with clearer writing, a stronger story, and a plan for what to do next.
