Rich Damerell: Enthusiastic Tutor of Russian, French and English as a Foreign Language.

From January 2024 - July 2025, Rich tutored our son in French, as part of his home education programme. Our son is unable to manage a school environment due to his neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism) and when he started with Rich he was chronically stressed from his difficult experiences in school. Rich was unfailingly gentle, patient and positive with our son, skilfully bringing him back to the subject after the inevitable lapses in concentration, and managing his distress with real kindness. He prepared carefully for the lessons but usually had a back-up plan if our son was finding Plan A difficult and a new approach was required. He was always punctual and reliable and communicated well with us as parents. He was very willing to work with us to tailor his lessons to our son's needs. Our son trusted Rich and enjoyed his lessons.
