About Liudmyla

I'm a unicorn in my soul, a writer in my heart and a journalist in my diploma. I'm languages, sweets and dogs lover with a non-stop desire to travel and explore the world. I have been creating books and that's something that brings me a lot of joy - I like to see the result of my work. I'm half introvert, half extrovert which means I can work by myself or in a team, both efficiently. In 2018 I won Erasmus+ programme and have been travelling around Europe a lot. I prefer to treat all the people equally, with same respect, not considering race, skin colour, nationality, gender or religious beliefs. I expect the same respect from other people. Important! It happens so often that I sadly have to write about it: please do not write to me if you are an irresponsible person who ghosts people - ghosting is a sign of immaturity, not of your busyness. If you forgot about a meeting or had an emergency, it is not a problem - just contact me later, apologise and we continue like adults. Let's respect each other!

About the lesson

PLEASE, READ FIRST! On the 24th of February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine bombing our houses and killing our people. I am not against Russian citizens or the Russian language as this is my mother tongue as well but against the tyranny and cruelty of the world leaders. Your level is not important! If you’re a beginner just starting with the alphabet, or you’re interested in watching more Russian movies, or you’re trying to get more out of reading Dostoevsky in the original Russian, we will overcome everything together. In my students I look for a desire to learn new things because that is what I am trying to do myself. In our lessons we will boost your pronunciation and remove language barriers. • General Russian (A1 to C2 level) *Interview preparation *Go abroad preparation *In my classes I use: PowerPoint presentations, ads, songs, videos *** Russian for Beginners Speaking Improving vocabulary and speaking in longer sentences Listening Understanding simple dialogues about family, everyday life, education, hobbies, pets, sports, food, music, clothes; answering the questions Reading Developing a habit to read, discuss and summarise the information, answer the questions, improving vocabulary and grammar along the way ️Writing Learning forms of tenses, numbers, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, the difference between them and how to combine all this mix in a sentence *** Russian for Intermediate - Advanced students Speaking Improving your pronunciation and vocabulary, boosting your speaking abilities ‍Interview preparation Discussing possible questions that can be asked and possible answers (school, university, work) ️Go abroad preparation Discussing possible situations / scenarios that can happen while travelling and role playing them Listening Understanding dialogues about more complex things (f.e. science, medicine, technologies, relationships, taxes etc.); answering the questions; learning new words, idioms, phrasal words along the way Reading Poems, novels, comic books and other fascinating things of your choice, discussing them and creating our own characters, environment and landscapes ️Writing Learning the forms of tenses and much more; developing writing skills - letters, essays, novels **Cancellation policy! Please let me know at least 5 hours before a class. If less, I'll have to charge you for a class because I could have made other plans or had other students. Thank you for understanding.

Perfect! Luidmyla has been a great help in getting me started with Russian. She’s very flexible in how she runs lessons and is always quick to reply to questions or messages. The lessons are practical, well structured, and move at a pace that matches how quickly we’re getting through the material.

We had a great first meeting, Tony had problems with the camera but the sound was good so it didn't matter much. We agreed on meeting later when he'd have time. It didn't happen so maybe he got busy or changed his mind.

Perfect! Lyudmila is a stellar tutor who is great at explaining the more complicated aspects of the language in a comprehensible manner and a great person overall! I made miles of more progress with the language through weekly 1 hour lessons with her, than I did studying the language for a year in university. Would most definitely reccomend to any Russian learner at any level.

Perfect! Lyuda is a very friendly and approachable person which makes learning with her very enjoyable. It was an amazing meeting. It turned out we had so much in common so we just talked non stop. Beth is a creative person and the Russian language lover. She could already speak and understood me, the native speaker, although I didn't slow down while talking. I was impressed. It's just a matter of practice for her to become a real Russian speaker.

A friend from abroad recommended Lucy and now I can see why. I am one of those people that only learn in the good way, with patience and kindness. And Lucy has them both.
