I've recently decided to grow my tutoring business that I’ve been running on the side for about 3 years. I have been able to help numerous students meet their goals in their math classes or their SAT Math. In this time, I realized my passion for fostering these types of mentor-mentee relationships and growing alongside these students. Because of that, I want to spend more time pursuing this path! I am looking forward to helping even more students improve their academics while gaining confidence that they have a place to ask questions not only about their math class but anything in life.

About the lesson

My goal is the student's "fluid" conceptual understanding and we are both on a team working towards that goal. By fluid, I mean a full and deep understanding of the topic that equips them with the tools and comfortability with the concept so that they are able to tackle it no matter what "form" the question takes. My teaching method focuses on students' active participation and adapting my teaching style to fit the student's needs best (tip/tricks, fixing bad habits, problem breakdowns, thought process analysis). For our sessions, we will be following the very study plan that got me a PERFECT 800 on the Math section.

Roadmap Preview:

1. Diagnostics - Finding your strengths and weaknesses

2. Concepts - Learning all 24(Digital SAT)/25(Paper SAT) concepts together and building a solid framework

3. Practice Questions - Practice question sets with focus on a specific struggle topic

4. Mixed Practice Questions - Practice question sets with all struggle topics mixed in

5. Practice Exam Walkthrough - Test taking strategies, Time management, Thought process coaching

At the end of each session, I do a short overview of the main concepts that we learned and that are important to focus on and we keep these notes in an easily accessible place for you to review when you are studying on your own time!
