About Laavanya
Hi, I'm Laavanya, a Computer Science student at BITS Pilani Dubai with a genuine passion for learning, teaching and helping people grow.
I've been tutoring since 2022 through Schoolhouse.world, working with students on SAT preparation and academic subjects. Alongside that, I've spent four years as a trained active listener and emotional support volunteer, helping over 100 people navigate challenges, which means I understand that every student learns differently, and that confidence matters just as much as content.
Beyond academics, I've completed certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Google Creative skills and Advanced Software Engineering, which gives me a strong foundation to make even complex topics feel approachable and relevant. I also run a blog I started in middle school, which reflects my long-standing love for writing, expression and clear communication.
I'm patient, thorough and genuinely invested in the students I work with. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching, I take the time to understand where each student is struggling and why, before building from there.

I'm a Computer Science student at BITS Pilani Dubai, with over three years of tutoring experience through Schoolhouse.world, where I've helped students with SAT prep and subject doubts across Math, Science and English.
My approach is patient, personalized and conversation-based, I don't just explain answers, I help students understand the why behind concepts so they can solve problems independently. Having supported so many individuals through active listening and mentorship since 2020, I naturally adapt to how each student thinks and learns best.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, structured but flexible depending on the student's pace. I cover all subjects for Class 6–10 (CBSE and general curriculum), with particular strength in English. I'm also available for SAT preparation.
My sessions are online via Google Meet or Zoom, making them accessible from anywhere in India or the UAE. Whether you need help catching up, building confidence, or getting ahead, I tailor every session to their specific needs and goals.
