About John

I have a bachelors degree in chemistry from Northern Arizona University. While working on my degree I did both medicinal and theoretical chemistry research. After taking a graduate course in Organic Chemistry I decided to help a friend who was struggling with the subject. I am interested in expanding my knowledge of both o-chem and the best ways to teach it.

About the lesson

Organic chemistry is difficult because it seems as though there are an endless amount of molecules and reactions. Knowing the core principles and concepts and building off of them is much more effective than memorizing an impossible amount of information. I like to address several common pitfalls in the beginning to form strong study skills that translate directly over to exam day.
