About Muddassar
I am a Physicist in quantum optomechanics and electromechanics, working at the King's College London. I would describe myself as a researcher and an educator. Apart from seeking answers at the frontiers of quantum physics, I like to help students develop their own capabilities and interests, to seek their own questions. I have taught students from all walks of life, at multiple levels, from primary level up to undergraduate level, as well as, adult learners.
I graduated from University College London (UCL) with a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Photon Science from the University of Manchester. I then embarked on a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Southampton, where I managed to cool the motion of a nanoparticle by a factor of a million, with a team of talented physicist. My current research interests are in quantum optics, quantum optomechanics, thermodynamics, and force sensing. I work currently as a senior research fellow, mentoring undergraduates up to Ph.D. students.

I have extensive experience working in teaching primary, secondary and college students primarily in math and science. I have also lectured at the university level in quantum optics. I have also worked with youngsters with behavioral challenges, as well as, those with learning difficulties. I aim to tailor, my teaching style and method for each student and carry out extensive research wherever possible to convey the key ideas and principles. My teaching style is to enable students to think and answers questions on their own, and thus building their confidence and ability in the subject of interest.
