About Anthony
I'm a programmer with 7 years of industry experience. I've built websites, apps, plugins, games and more. I was self-taught at an early age, learned the fundamentals in college. I've worked at both tiny startups and big websites with thousands of page views daily .
I've also been a piano teacher most of my life, and have experience teaching all ages. Teaching is by far the most challenging and rewarding job I've had.

Project-based lessons, custom-made with an aim to meet students where they're at.
I focus on simplicity and purpose. Students will always know why each skill/tool is useful, and never feel what they're learning is arbitrary.
As an industry professional, I bring holistic knowledge and an ability to communicate complex ideas simply. As an experienced teacher, I bring patience, a sense of humor, and humility (you'll have to trust me on that last one).
A lesson plan typically starts with getting a computer set up, then writing a simple program, then modifying an existing program, then building a full version from the ground up. While this plan is highly flexible, I find that projects help foster motivation and confidence.
My lessons are for anyone able to read and write in English. I personally started programming when I was ten years old. I expect most of my clients will be high schoolers taking the AP but I'm open to anyone - I've taught master's candidates and middle schoolers alike.
