I studied Bahasa Indonesia for 2 months with Agata when I was in Yogyakarta for a research project with UCLA. Her classes were fantastic! My biggest memory was that we laughed as much as we practiced. Agata is a patient teacher, has a great sense of humor and structures topics around student interests and abilities. Agata was my Bahasa Indonesian language teacher in Yogyakarta for 4 weeks in 2009. She helped me to prepare myself for my job so I was able to follow meetings in Bahasa Indonesia and could handle my daily life. I first met Agata in 2012 while I was working in a mining operation in Central Kalimantan. Agata gave me daily Bahasa lessons while I was on the site, and she quickly got me to a level that greatly improved my ability to communicate with indigenous workers at a business level. I recently re-engaged with Agata to further build upon the skills she had previously given me, and she has again been a fantastic and patient teacher.
