About Emily
Hello!
I'm Emily. Once upon a time, I was a neurodivergent kid who struggled in an academic environment that didn't often respect my needs. I was labeled all manner of things that weren't exactly pleasant, but in reality, I had the potential for really complex thought. As soon as I met a teacher who cared and was patient with me, I showed the ability to comprehend mathematics and problem solving well-beyond my education level.
I take pride in being someone who is equally as creative as I am logical and I think even the most unlikely of people can learn to draw with the right tools and instruction. When I began, my drawing were not much better than stick figures, but time and practice got me to the point that people sit in awe of the work I produce now.
Beyond my work, I'm a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, a digital artist, and streamer. I originally hail from the United States, but moved to Australia around a year ago to live with my partner.

I am a generally down-to-earth person interested in providing artistic skills for everyday and professional use. My general aim is to get you started into the point that you can comfortably explore within a given path of digital artwork
My lessons are entirely online with text or voice communication through any platform where I can see your screen and at your pace for things.
I provide both basic lessons for people who simply want to understand how to get started into drawing and feel a bit lost trying to understand how to express the ideas in their head onto the screen in front of them, as well as more advanced lessons in sketching, design, line art, coloring, and rendering for more advanced use. I also can provide lessons in turning your art into a commodity and organizing yourself as a business.
I am entirely self-taught within my artwork having learned from watching tutorials online and ten years of practice. I run my own online commission business, Myoty Illustrations where I take commissions ranging from 50$ to 1000$ in cost.
