About Lailah
I started “doodling” when I was in elementary school, around 2020, I took inspiration from various animated TV shows and makeup videos. Since those taught me how to draw, I wanted to go to the next level. When I got to high school, I started painting. I used makeup videos and my own skin tone to adjust to color theory until I started exploring different kinds of art. My senior year I enrolled in AP 2D Art and Design, where I studied different topics, styles, and mediums. Through my art teacher, I learned how to come up with a thesis and study the inspiration. Over the school year, I was featured in 5 different art shows/exhibitions. As I go off to college, I intend to help anyone who’d like to follow a similar path.

Being self taught is not easy, learning something new isn’t simple either. I wanted to become an art tutor specifically because I believe that it is crucial to have a judgment free space to grow. I aspire to help students find their passion, hobby, or creative outlet.
