About Mark
I am Autistic myself, and I have had struggles within my own education journey, especially within transition periods. And so I have a deep passion to help others who need or want extra support: like I did when I was young. I adapt every session to learners' needs, providing that support while the success builds confidence, independence, and a belief they can succeed and be seen.
At University, I overcame illness and came to understand my own needs and thrive, becoming the highest achieving graduate of my academic year. After giving the speech at graduation, I realised the value in education for growth which is when I became a fully qualified SEND specialist further education teacher.
I have taught now at a range of colleges and schools where I use my autism to relate and inspire learners to achieve and build confidence. I have seen how getting to know students, and building strong relationships can facilitate growth, tailoring lessons around a practical sense of what an individual needs.

Lessons/sessions are built around learner needs. I am trained in SEND and adapting within every session where I work at the individual's pace: adapting to how you learn. I have worked in SEND specialist provisions supporting young adults with English, Maths, Employability, ICT, and Independence in the community [Travel Training]. I have seen how negative experiences within education can impact learning so I use a trauma-informed approach to tailor build a safe learning environment for those who struggle with anxiety, low mood, and low confidence: especially when it comes to education.
My aim is to help you feel safe, confident, and capable through learning.
