Each session begins with a brief check-in to identify goals and areas of difficulty, followed by focused, hands-on work on one or two key skills. We practice together in real time: reading, writing, or problem-solving collaboratively, then wrap up with a recap and clear next steps.
I prioritize collaboration over correction, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking out loud. My background in writing and close reading allows me to break down complex ideas in approachable ways while building both academic skills and self-confidence.
My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students at all levels who want support in English, writing, reading, and reading comprehension. I work especially well with students who feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure where to start, as well as those looking to strengthen and refine their skills.
