About Michael

Hi, I'm Michael. A DevOps Engineer who currently works for a Microsoft Partner in Gateshead. Like many of you who are likely reading this I have a strong passion for all things technology based and took a strong liking to IT when I was younger and decided to pursue it as a career. I have worked in a multitude of roles in relation to IT and Development so have a wide knowledge on a range of topics. I also know what it is like to start the path towards development and believe Schools don't facilitate the needs to pursue a career in development with many people's first taste of Development being in University which can be overwhelming for some. My aim is to get those who are interested ahead of the curve and give them the ability to begin coding projects that interest them before they pursue a career towards Development. Projects can span over a huge range from Websites to Bots but if you think of an idea you should be able to pursue it!

About the lesson

The best way to learn Development is to do Development. The lessons provided will have small tasks and challenges which the individual will learn how to complete while learning the theory alongside this. Lessons will last between 1/2 Hours. Small Projects may last over multiple lessons; however, we will have a functioning project at the end. Be that a Website, a Bot or a Program. You would have developed by yourself. I have taught many Interns and Junior Developers in the past and would be happy to take on anyone from a Child with an interest, Teenagers looking to start their pathway towards development or an Adult wanting to change careers. I've had a few lessons with J now and he is a great student and super eager to learn. It's great to see him making notes during any theory that we discuss and he doesn't give up when faced with problems. Really hope J sticks at it as he defo has the passion to be a great software developer.

Perfect! Michael is a great tutor with many skills and has an excellent teaching approach.

Levent was very honest and admitted what his strengths and weakeness were and through that we were able to work on the areas within his DevOps knowledge such as IAC and Testing. Levent is focused and make sure that he understands the reason why code executes in specific manners.

Stuart is a great student and shows eagerness to learn and develop himself further. He is not reserved and if wants something explaining further will happily ask instead of sitting in silence. The lesson was interactive and Stuart was open about his knowledge and what he wanted to improve on. Stuart has taken an initial project away from our first lesson which will be expanded on in the following lessons to come. Great student
