I had Mrs. Verdi for my 7th grade Civics class. She was the absolute sweetest teacher, the kind you knew would care about problems if you decided to tell her. She made it so important to not only teach with us but to be friends with us. I loved her so much as a person and a teacher. Every year she organized a 9/11 memorial at our school that took many days of preparation. We could all tell she truly cares about the message and wasn’t just doing it to volunteer.
