About Kirsti

I was born and grew up in a small town in Denmark before deciding to move to London in 2017 to pursue my dream in the arts. I trained in musical theatre for two years. I have just finished my BMus in contemporary music production and Performance at LCCM in London, with core modules being singing and songwriting.

I have found my passion for teaching as a singing teacher at a drama school for kids, where I teach group lessons and 1-1's every week. And am looking to continue teaching for the next many years.

When I am not teaching I am working on my own original music or reading a good book snuggled up with my dog.

About the lesson

When I teach I always plan the lessons based on your interests and needs. We aim the lessons at where you are right now.

Singing:
In singing lessons you would learn about your individual instrument and how to work with it. We would get rid of any bad habits and create healthy and sustainable habits. We would work on technique while singing songs that interests you. If you are interested in music theory and sight singing, we would add that to the lessons to make sure you get to learn exactly what you want.

I also have a lot of experience helping out with drama school and West End auditions, where I will help find the right song, practice the song correctly, acting through song and make sure you feel the best way possible before walking into the audition.

After my lessons 2 students got into drama school, 1 student played young Cosette in Les Miserables in the West End, and 1 student is currently in rehearsal to play young Cosette on the European Stadium tour of Les Miserable

Piano:
I teach mainly beginners piano wether you are a child, or an adult wanting to learn a new skill. I will teach you the theory behind piano and how to construct scales, chords etc. as well as teaching you how to play a melody ultimately leading to you being able to play full songs confidently.

We will work towards you being able to play all of your favourite songs.

I can teach towards graded exams in both singing, piano and music theory.

Availability:
Tuesdays 4pm-7pm
Every second Wednesday 6.15-7.15pm
