About Lena

I have 7 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, specializing in Lieder and Art Song. My teaching focuses on vocal improvisation for jazz and blues singers. I love helping students explore scat singing, melodic embellishment, and advanced harmony to create their own unique sound. My approach balances practical skills like ear training and applying scale and chord theory with creative expression. I believe developing a strong musical understanding is key to confident improvisation. Each lesson is personalized to suit your level and goals, whether you are just starting out or looking to refine your skills. I work closely with students to build solid vocal technique and performance abilities. Together, we focus on unlocking your individual improvisational voice. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and inspired when you sing. Whether you want to improve your jazz runs or add blues flavor to your performances, I am here to guide you every step of the way. About the lesson
