About Naomi

I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Vocal Performance. I love helping adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons focus on community choirs, karaoke, or casual social singing.

I create a relaxed and supportive environment where students can explore their voice without pressure. Breathwork, posture, and vocal relaxation are key components of my teaching. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques to help singers stay present in the music. Tone development and expressive singing grow naturally through guided practice.

I teach Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles, tailoring each lesson to the student’s interests. Singing can be a form of self-care, creativity, and confidence-building. I aim to make lessons fun, inspiring, and rewarding. Whether you’re starting or restarting your singing journey, it’s never too late to enjoy music. Together, we focus on growth, joy, and connection with your voice. Singing should be a source of pure pleasure.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centered on building strong, sustainable voices for singers at all levels. I focus on developing vocal stamina for touring, rehearsals, and performances while minimizing fatigue. Safe warm-ups and cool-downs are key parts of every lesson.

Students learn techniques to manage strain, protect their voice, and maintain consistent tone quality. I help both The Soloist in Training and The Church Ensemble Player develop habits that preserve their instrument for years. Breath support, posture, and mindful practice are emphasized in every session.

We cover pre- and post-performance care, hydration, and daily routines for long-term vocal health. Lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored to individual needs. By balancing skill-building with vocal care, singers gain confidence and longevity.

The goal is to help students perform at their best without sacrificing their voice. Together, we cultivate power, flexibility, and endurance for a sustainable singing career.
