About Asha
I’m a singing tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My passion lies in helping students discover their unique voice both on stage and in the studio. I specialise in modern vocal styles like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian. In my lessons, we use studio gear such as DAWs, vocal processors, and professional mics to prepare you for real recording sessions. Whether you're working on original songs or covers, I guide you through tone shaping, phrasing, and vocal layering. Lyric interpretation and emotional delivery are at the heart of my approach. I work with both hobbyists who sing for joy and aspiring recording artists aiming to shape a vocal identity. Together, we explore harmonies, dynamics, and how to express a story through music. My sessions are creative, relaxed, and tailored to your goals. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with tools used in professional studios. Whether you're a music major refining your technique or a Suzuki student expanding your range, I tailor lessons to match your musical background and goals. We focus on smart song selection—choosing pieces that highlight your strengths while challenging your range. Vocal tone matching and controlled dynamics are central to our work. You’ll learn to shape your voice for different genres and performance settings. Vocal agility exercises help both personas develop flexibility and stamina, essential for more demanding material. Mock auditions give you a space to practise under real conditions, improving stage presence and confidence. I introduce a wide variety of styles to help you stay versatile and expressive. We’ll also use practical tools like backing track apps for rehearsal, lyric trainers for memorisation, and pitch analysers for accuracy. Together, we build a toolkit for auditions and beyond. The focus is always on growing your voice while keeping your unique musical identity intact.
