About Melisa

Hello, I'm Melisa! I am an actor, songwriter and vocal coach. I am a MA Musical Theatre graduate from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, one of the UK's leading drama schools. I also have a BMus in Vocal Performance (Classical Voice). I've been performing professionally for about a decade now and teaching for about 6 years, working for opera companies and theatre schools as well as coaching 1:1 sessions under my private tuition, MC Music Studios and teaching singing classes at Mountview, one of the UK's leading drama schools.

About the lesson

Singing is a personal experience. I am here to help you build a healthy relationship with your voice and celebrate its uniqueness! I have had the opportunity to work with clients in varying skill levels and different backgrounds. Here are some of the things that we can work on during our sessions: - Vocal Technique (posture & alignment, breath management, ear training, vocal range and agility, tension release, resonance, etc) - Song work (Musical Theatre, Contemporary & Classical) - Acting Through Song (interpreting your material, text work) - Repertoire Building (finding songs that would best suit your voice and will showcase your vocal abilities) - Performance Coaching (working through your song/s for performances, shows/gigs & auditions) - Drama / Music School Audition Preparation (I have clients who are now studying at Juilliard, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Manhattan School of Music and AMDA as well as clients working in Disney and Universal Studios) If you share the same love and passion for singing, then I'm sure working together will be an amazing experience.
