About Ash
I am a professional vocalist with extensive performance and training experience, now transitioning into singing tuition. I recently completed a five-year international contract as a lead vocalist, performing regularly in professional productions and live shows. This experience has given me a strong understanding of vocal stamina, performance discipline, and maintaining healthy technique in demanding environments. I hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Performing Arts and have completed Grades 1–8 in Singing with Trinity College school, providing me with a solid technical foundation alongside real-world performance experience. My training covers vocal technique, musicality, performance skills, and vocal health, all of which I bring into my teaching. As a teacher, I am patient, encouraging, and professional. I understand that every voice is unique, and I tailor lessons to suit each student’s ability, goals, and learning style. Whether you are a beginner looking to build confidence or a more experienced singer aiming to refine technique and performance skills, my focus is on helping you progress safely, confidently, and enjoyably. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to help students develop strong, healthy voices while gaining confidence in their own abilities.

Having had singing lessons from the age of 6, I then went on to study musical theatre and then work professionally doing my dream job. My teaching approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual voice and goals. I focus on: • Healthy vocal technique, including posture, breathing, and vocal care • Developing tone, pitch accuracy, range, and control • Building confidence through gradual, achievable challenges • Using warm-ups, vocal exercises, and repertoire suited to the student’s level and style • Encouraging musical expression while maintaining safe, sustainable technique Lessons are adapted to suit different learning styles and musical interests, whether classical, musical theatre, or contemporary styles. Typical Lesson Length Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and focus. Shorter sessions (30 minutes) are available for younger students or beginners, while longer sessions allow more time for technique, repertoire, and performance skills. Qualifications & Experience As I have just finished working professionally and have all my singing grades, I am very aware of the different ways to approach each individual student. If it is a beginner, confidence is a massive contributor to the art of singing so that will be the main focus to start, as well as learning the basics of vocal technique. For other students, the goal may be drama school auditions or professional auditions, that is something I have experienced myself and know exactly how to prepare and what to expect in these situations. My singing lessons are suitable for: •
Children, teenagers, and adults • Beginners through to intermediate/advanced singers • Students preparing for performances, auditions, or exams • Anyone wanting to improve technique, confidence, or vocal health Each lesson is tailored to the student’s age, level, and musical goals to ensure steady, enjoyable progress
