About Tess
I hold a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and have six years of teaching experience across diverse age groups and skill levels. My teaching approach balances technical training with encouragement, ensuring students develop both vocal skill and confidence while enjoying the process of learning. In addition to teaching, I actively perform and attend professional workshops to stay current with modern vocal techniques. This experience allows me to bring practical insights, performance strategies, and creative exercises into lessons, helping students build both technical proficiency and expressive artistry in their singing. What inspires me most is helping students discover and develop their unique voice. I adapt lessons to suit each learner’s strengths and challenges, celebrating progress along the way. My goal is to cultivate not only technical excellence but also a lifelong love and confidence in music.

My lessons begin by focusing on the fundamentals of healthy singing, including posture, breathing exercises, and vocal warm-ups. These core practices strengthen vocal endurance, enhance tone quality, and expand range, giving students a solid foundation for confident and expressive singing across various musical styles. As students progress, I introduce diction, phrasing, and emotional expression through carefully selected repertoire. Whether classical, pop, or musical theatre, learners practise connecting technical skills with artistry, ensuring that their performances are both precise and emotionally engaging while fostering a personal style and musical identity. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual goals, whether preparing for auditions, developing stage presence, or singing for personal enjoyment. Through constructive feedback, patient guidance, and consistent encouragement, I provide a supportive environment that allows students to grow confidently while enjoying the learning process.
