About Shadab

I have been playing sitar for 6 years and have learned with eminent gurus. I believe that I could pass down some knowledge that I have acquired over the years so people could navigate Sitar and Indian Classical music as it is supposed to be.

About the lesson

Music comes from one's soul, A person only needs some directions and strong foundation to proceed in this instrument. My lessons are based to develop those foundation and musicianship. I first start with basic finger movement and right hand technique and introduce a raaga.

Perfect! Shadab is a very knowledgeable teacher of sitar. He is kind, patient, and flexible as well which is so important in working with a 9.5 hour time zone difference on Zoom. I have just begun lessons with him and he is excellent. In just a short time I have learned a lot about the sitar from him- including the history of the instrument and different lineages of playing. He is always on time and willing to help in between sessions. I totally recommend Shadab- especially if you are a beginner like me.
