About Maggie
I have 24 years of teaching experience, 21 of which is in the secondary level and in Special Education - but I have taught K-12 throughout my career. I am a mom of a freshman in college, and still love what I do with everything I have. I have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Central Washington University, an MA-Ed in Literacy from Lesley University, and my Professional Teaching Certification from Pacific Lutheran University plus 90 post-graduate credits. I am a 2-time honoree (in 2020 and 2022) of Teacher of the Year in Gig Harbor WA, where I teach/live.

My primary focus is students with IEPs and needs in reading, written language, basic math, and executive functioning.
My time with you would be focused on your individual needs, so discussion about this would be important - both what you need and what you want. If comfortable, allowing me to converse with your teachers is helpful. I also have assessments that are beneficial to giving me information/insight.
