About Henry
My name is Henry, and I am an ESL teacher and educator based in Kent, in the United Kingdom. I recently returned to the UK after teaching in South Korea for five years. There, I was the head English teacher, and provided English tuition to a wide range of ages and English levels. I was well-liked by all my students, and have been praised for creating a fun and engaging learning experience in my classes. I am able to speak Korean, as a Korean studies graduate from the University of Sheffield, and achieved A grade in my CELTA Cambridge English language teaching qualification. Teaching is my passion, and nothing is more satisfying to me than seeing my students develop their skills and watching as their confidence grows.

Korean
A typical class will last 50 minutes and cover one or more of the basic areas of language development including speaking, writing, reading, and grammar. Quantity and regularity of lessons can be discussed with options available. I am available to teach both online and in-person (within South East Kent) Lessons will be self-made and cover a range of topics, but can also be tailored to work around textbooks if the learner so desires. My lessons are very student-focused and students may give input into which areas of English they would like to focus on, as well as choose specific topics they would like to cover in speaking, writing and reading activities. I was the head English teacher for five years at a language school in South Korea, and was praised by both students and teachers for having a natural talent for teaching, as well as a friendly and comforting manner. As a foreign language graduate myself, I understand the difficulties and barriers that come with learning a foreign language. I therefore believe that creating an enjoyable environment for learners to develop their language skills comfortably is key to promoting the best learning experience.
