About Kyler

I have been teaching guitar for over 8 years, working with students from school age to college level. My love for music started when I was young, and teaching became my way of sharing that love with others. Each student I meet brings a new journey, and I enjoy helping them learn, grow, and express themselves through music. I believe in a positive, patient, and creative approach to learning. One of my most rewarding moments was seeing a shy student perform confidently at a school concert after just a few months of lessons. Moments like these remind me why I love teaching. My goal is not just to teach guitar, but to inspire students to believe in themselves and enjoy the process of learning.

About the lesson

Teaching guitar is more than just showing how to play notes and chords. It’s about helping students find their voice through music. My teaching method is built on four strong pillars: motivation, communication, integrity, and creativity. I believe every student has a unique musical journey, so I always take the time to understand their goals, challenges, and interests. Whether a student wants to play their favorite song, perform on stage, or just enjoy music as a hobby, I design lessons to match their goals.

Motivation plays a key role in every lesson. I encourage students to stay positive, celebrate their progress, and keep going—even when something feels difficult. I also help them set small goals that are easy to track and achieve. Communication is open and friendly. I always make sure instructions are clear and that students feel comfortable asking questions. No student is rushed. Everyone learns at their own pace. Creativity is what makes learning guitar fun and exciting. I often use games, songs, songwriting exercises, and improvisation to keep lessons interesting. We explore different styles like rock, pop, classical, blues, or whatever the student enjoys. I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm for a full understanding of how music works. Integrity guides everything I do. I provide honest feedback, stay committed to each student’s progress, and always treat learners with respect. Every lesson is a chance to grow, improve, and enjoy the power of music. This approach helps students become not only skilled guitarists but also confident, creative individuals.
