About Vera

With 9 years of experience and around 150 successful students, I am passionate about teaching flute to learners of all ages and skill levels. My approach combines discipline, encouragement, and structured progress. I begin by assessing each student’s current level and musical goals, then design personalised lesson plans that focus on breath management, tone development, articulation, finger precision, and rhythm training.

I also integrate sight-reading and basic music theory to ensure well-rounded growth. I believe effective practice is the key to success, so I guide students on how to structure their daily practice sessions for maximum improvement.

My unique ability is breaking down complex musical passages into small, manageable steps, making learning less overwhelming and more enjoyable. I create a calm and supportive atmosphere where students feel confident to make mistakes and learn from them. Teaching flute is not just about technique for me—it is about nurturing confidence, discipline, and a lasting love for music.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology is centred on personalisation, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that each student’s musical journey is unique, so I carefully design lessons that match their learning style, pace, and goals.

I begin by strengthening the core fundamentals—correct posture, breath control, embouchure formation, and tone clarity. Once students develop stability in sound production, I gradually introduce finger techniques, scale practice, articulation exercises, and rhythm coordination. Each concept is taught step-by-step to ensure deep understanding.

In addition to flute performance, I teach related subjects such as music theory, notation reading, rhythm counting, ear training, and basic harmony. This helps students connect practical playing with theoretical knowledge.

Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson plans depending on whether the student is preparing for exams, performances, competitions, or learning for personal enjoyment. Collaboration is encouraged through open communication, goal setting, and shared repertoire selection.

I maintain a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere. I motivate students to overcome challenges and celebrate small achievements. My aim is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive flute musicians.
