About Daisy
I am a second-year student at the University of Edinburgh studying Social Policy and have studied Sociology for the past 6 years. Ever since studying Sociology at GCSE, it has become clear that Sociology is what I am passionate about, and have dedicated years to not only studying for my exams but also expanding my wider sociological knowledge.
As previously mentioned, I have studied Sociology since GCSE, where I achieved 97% (A*), at A-level, where I consistently achieved A*s in mock exams and ultimately came out with an A* for my final grade, and have gone on to study Sociology at university, first as part of my Social Policy and Sociology degree in which I achieved a first for Sociology, and now as an elective course to my Social Policy degree in second year.
I am a student who has had to work extremely hard to achieve the grades i've received, and from the time i've dedicated to studying I have discovered useful exam and revision techniques to reach the top grades. From helping students across the country during the pandemic to even providing support to my classmates, I have a genuine passion for helping other students to achieve their potential.

During my time studying, along with tutoring, Sociology, I found that most students struggled with exam technique and producing a coherent response that critically answered the question given. Therefore, I will focus on how the student would go about answering an exam question, along with testing them on their sociological knowledge and providing studying techniques that I have used during my time studying Sociology at GCSE, A level and even at undergraduate level.
I have tutored both A-level and GCSE students for 2 years in Spanish, Psychology and Sociology, although I am more familiar with A-level content, thus I am focusing on A-level students in either year 12 or 13. The sessions will typically be 1 hour although exceptions can be made for either longer or shorter sessions. Since I am currently studying in Edinburgh, the sessions will take place over video call at a time that is convenient for both of us.
