About Victoria
I am a Social Scientist with a background focused on the critical understanding of society, history, and social relations. I have academic experience in social research and a strong interest in education, especially in teaching Sociology and History. I believe that learning is built through dialogue, listening, and the connection between theory and reality. Therefore, I strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, reflecting, and developing intellectual autonomy. I am adept at explaining complex content clearly and accessibly, respecting the pace and needs of each student. My Sociology and History classes are designed to make the content more understandable, interesting, and connected to the students' reality. The approach is critical, dialogical, and contextualized, valuing active participation and the development of critical thinking. I use different teaching techniques, such as guided explanations, reading and interpreting texts, analyzing images, videos, news, and debates on current topics. Whenever possible, I relate theoretical content to everyday situations, historical events, and contemporary social issues, facilitating comprehension and retention of the material. Classes are organized according to the student's objectives, and may involve academic reinforcement, theoretical deepening, preparation for tests, schoolwork, or university entrance exams. The pace and materials are adapted according to the level and individual needs. The classes are intended for students in middle school, high school, and those interested in Sociology and History in general, including those seeking to improve academic performance or broaden their understanding of society and historical processes.
