About Nyla
I am a 23-year-old North Carolina native currently attending Fayetteville State University. My major is Social Work with a Spanish minor. I have a professional background in manufacturing and food services. I have volunteered with youth and veteran service programs as a counselor and grant writer.
As your tutor, I can assure you that I will facilitate a safe environment for you to grow. I expect you to advocate for yourself if you ever feel uncomfortable or if the work we are doing is overwhelming. My goal as your tutor is to show you what you are capable of, not just for you to pass a test.

My style of tutoring is dependent on my students. I am a very versatile person with patience and empathy. Typically, I spend the first session getting to know the students and understanding what they are having trouble with. I then take that information and work with them to determine the best modality moving forward. The levels I tutor are 4th-grade through college freshmen in the following subjects; social studies, English, philosophy, and history.
