My name is Anya and I am a patient tutor who believes that interaction with engaging content and diligent practice are the ways to achieve academic success. Having recently gone through my A levels I understand what a stressful experience exam revision can be and my aim is to reduce this stress by turning tutoring into a positive experience and helping students achieve their full potential. I have achieved an A* in both AQA Sociology and English Language A levels and am now studying sociology at an undergraduate level at Durham University. I am familiar with the AQA curriculum of these subjects, I am passionate about the content and I have subject specific resources to assist learning from my own exam revision.
My lesson style revolves around creating unique and fun ways to memorise content and practice exam technique. Whether this means inventing games to cover content, testing areas of difficulty or going through past papers, I am happy to adapt to suit the needs of individual students to maximise engagement, participation and reward. I always try to prioritise patience, kindness and hard work and I look forward to having the opportunity to help students achieve the best results possible.
