About Sudharsan

Mostly a self-taught programmer, I work as a QA Automation Engineer for a reputed Japanese firm, which has a branch office here in Chennai, India. I faced a lot of troubles and hardships getting into the field of Software testing. There weren't a lot of useful content or a structured course online. If I found any, they were awfully incomplete and didn't offer a lot of explanations. In addition to testing, I also encountered a lot of issues when trying to set up the testing environment or while writing test cases. Courses or videos on these topics are very few and limited and sometimes, outdated. This is the reason I wanted to start this class, so that you people don't go through the same madness that I had to go through.

About the lesson

Automation testing is a new and rising discipline in the field of software testing. Of all the different tools used in automation testing, browser based testing is the most commonly used method. Of these, testing using Selenium web driver is the industry standard when it comes to automation testing.

My teaching method involves hands-on coding experience with a variety of fundamentals and various other advanced techniques with respect to cross-browser software testing. A class usually extends from 40 mins to an hour depending upon the topic. I believe in experience based learning. Rather than just teaching the concepts, I make my students come up with a script based on what i have taught or what I am teaching during that particular session.

This class is for working professionals who would like to switch careers or venture into the field of automation testing, college students who want to explore the field of software testing and get a job in said field, or anyone who would like to explore Software testing on the automation end.

Prerequisites: Manual testing concepts, Core Java

P.S If either of the two prerequisites are not met, I'd strongly suggest you to get in touch and enroll in my manual testing and Java classes. These classes are fun, and easy to learn, thereby letting you start the Automation class as soon as possible.
