About Jayne
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with 5 years of teaching experience, working with school children, college students, and working professionals. Teaching guitar has been a rewarding journey for me, as I enjoy helping students discover their musical potential.
My teaching philosophy focuses on strong basics, real-life application, and personal growth. I believe that understanding the basics well is the key to becoming a confident guitar player. I take time to ensure students develop proper hand position, finger strength, rhythm sense, and musical understanding from the beginning.
I customise my teaching approach based on each student’s interest, whether they want to play songs, learn classical techniques, explore rock or pop styles, or improve improvisation skills. Lessons include exercises, song practice, and simple theory explained in an easy and practical way.
Over the years, I have trained many students who have successfully performed on stage, participated in competitions, and played guitar as part of bands and groups. Some students have also continued music as a long-term hobby or semi-professional pursuit.
I am patient, supportive, and detail-oriented in my teaching. I encourage students to stay disciplined while also enjoying the creative side of music. My goal is to help learners feel confident with their instrument and develop a deep appreciation for music.

My approach to teaching Guitar is simple, clear, and based on real understanding. I use real-life examples and case studies from popular songs, live performances, and daily practice situations. This helps students understand not only how to play the guitar, but also why certain techniques are used.
I believe every student learns differently, so I first focus on understanding their background, strengths, and challenges. Communication plays a key role in my teaching. I explain concepts in easy language and repeat them in different ways until the student feels comfortable. I encourage open discussion so students can share their difficulties without hesitation.
Integrity is at the core of my methodology. I am honest about progress and areas that need improvement. I guide students patiently and help them correct mistakes early, which is very important in Guitar learning. Proper technique, rhythm accuracy, and consistency are always emphasised.
Lessons include practical exercises, chord practice, strumming patterns, fingerstyle basics, and song application. I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory basics, rhythm counting, and effective practice methods. My goal is to create confident guitar players who understand music and enjoy the learning process.
