About Grace
My name is Grace and I am currently in my third year of my sociology degree at Durham University. I would like to tutor to apply my experience and knowledge of sociology, even after my studies are complete. I am passionate about this subject and I am excited to share this knowledge with fellow students.

In my approach to GCSE sociology tutoring, I prioritise fostering interactive discussions where students are encouraged to actively engage with the material. I integrate real-world examples and current events to make sociological concepts relatable and meaningful. Utilizing visual aids and hands-on activities, I aim to make complex ideas more accessible and reinforce understanding. I firmly believe in differentiated instruction, adapting my teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Through a variety of assessment strategies, including quizzes, projects, and discussions, I assess student comprehension and provide constructive feedback. I consistently challenge students to think critically, analyse sociological theories and research, and promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all voices are valued. I am qualified to teach sociology due to my familiarity and length of time I have focused my studies on this discipline. My lessons last the minimum of one hour, as to be able to utilise the time but not overwhelm the student with information.
