About Anita
I have several years of experience working as a Substitute Teacher and Paraprofessional with elementary age students in small groups and one on one. My specializations include English, English as a Second Language, Beginner’s and Intermediate Spanish. As a child I studied in Puerto Rico, and was inspired early on to teach international students. I am TEFL certified and love working with children and traveling abroad with my husband, spending time with family and our fur baby Eva. I enjoy meeting new people and students from diverse backgrounds !

I like to make students feel welcome and engaged in learning. I believe in the importance of creating a multicultural learning experience for students of all backgrounds. I want to encourage bilingual skills and use my expertise in English and Spanish to teach elementary age students and above English Language Arts, Beginner Spanish language skills, reading, writing and grammar by using fun and engaging lessons that include visuals, lot’s of practice and an interactive environment! I can adapt lessons to students interests and provide extra support by tailoring lessons according to each students' learning goals and strengths.
