About Luke
Hi! I’m a recent First-Class Honours graduate in International Business from Loughborough University, where I was also awarded a Dean’s Award for Internationalisation. Within my business degree, I also studied Spanish, French, and A1 Mandarin at Loughborough University.
My focus is on helping students build confidence in Spanish, especially through speaking practice in a relaxed and supportive environment. I believe the best progress happens when learners feel comfortable using the language, so my lessons are flexible and shaped around each student’s needs and goals. This could include conversation practice, support with schoolwork, or clarification of grammar and vocabulary as needed.
I have studied languages academically through GCSE and A-Level Spanish (Grade 8 at GCSE and an A at A-Level), and strengthened my fluency further through six months living in Uruguay, where I used Spanish daily in real-life situations.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students, beginners (A1), and intermediate learners up to B1, as well as adults looking to improve their speaking confidence for travel, study, or personal development. I aim to create a relaxed but focused learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to improve.

My tutoring style is flexible, supportive, and mainly focused on helping students actually use Spanish with confidence. I prioritise speaking practice in a relaxed environment, where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving naturally through conversation.
Rather than following a rigid programme, I adapt each lesson to what the student needs or wants to work on. This could be general conversation, school support, grammar clarification, vocabulary building, or help with speaking confidence. I’m happy to guide learners or simply support what they are already studying.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and is usually based around speaking practice, with grammar or vocabulary explained as it comes up naturally in conversation. I also give feedback and tips during the lesson to help students improve fluency and accuracy.
I hold a C1 certificate from International House of Languages (a Grade 8 in GCSE Spanish, an A at A-Level). I also spent six months living in Uruguay, where I used Spanish daily in real-life situations, which greatly improved my fluency and understanding of natural, conversational Spanish.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students, beginners (A1), and intermediate learners up to B1, as well as adults who want to improve their speaking skills for travel, work, or personal interest.
