About Maxwell
My name is Max McKnight and I’ve been in love with Spanish and latino culture ever since my family moved to Puerto Rico when I was 16. Ive been teaching Spanish casually to friends and family for the last 2 years as they have adjusted to life in Puerto Rico and learning Spanish. I also had the pleasure of serving a Mission for my church where I spoke Spanish and Portuguese and helped teach both English and Spanish to learners in the Bay Area California. I’d love to help you learn this beautiful language to help connect with some of the best people I know!

Lessons will focus on building a gramatical foundation that can be expanded upon through individual practice. Emphasis will be placed on helping the student learn the process of learning a language with the aim of helping them building good learning habits and becoming self sufficient learners.
As a fellow learner of Spanish (Non native speaker) I had to learn the language which included a lot of trial and error in regards to what worked and what didn’t. Now speaking Spanish fluently, as well as having also learned Portuguese. I know what works and what doesn’t and can help you identify the best practices that work for you as we learn the gramatical principles and vocabulary that will provide your foundation for future Spanish learning.
A typical lesson includes a grammar principle, and several vocabulary words, as well as conversational practice and exercises to verify understanding of the principles taught.
