About Alfonso
I realize it's especially my students who can tell you about my professionalism: so I can provide you with letters of recommendation, and you can see online what they've posted!
I think they'd say I'm a committed Spanish language teacher, who strives to provide—with excellence and
balance—the best possible support and guidance for students to achieve their goals. I am experienced in materials design and creation, and indeed have a demonstrated history of teaching
satisfied learners. With kindness and an encouraging attitude, I am a partner for students to learn and succeed in their studies and lives. I am eager to meet the needs of diverse learners, and to meet professional expectations. With an in-depth (linguistic) knowledge of the “whys” of the language, I am able to communicate effectively by speaking and writing clearly, and professionally. I have 9 years of teaching experience (6 years as a Spanish tutor), including positions in collaborative environments. For the last three and a half years, I’ve taught at a language school in the center of Barcelona.

With a comprehensive, all-skills approach to learning Spanish (including pronunciation!), I help students move forward in their goal to master the language • I also enthusiastically cater to learners' specific needs.
In me you'll find a great combination of teaching qualification and experience, plus a mind and a heart to help learners.
I strive for excellence in and out of class, and my in-depth (linguistic) knowledge of the "whys" of language makes my students consider me a true Spanish expert and companion.
Self-motivated, highly educated, skilled at materials creation, with the know-how to use technology for online teaching, a very advanced English speaker—you'll find all of that (among other qualities!) also describes me as a Spanish teacher.
"¡Encantado de conocerte!" (Nice to meet you!)
P. S.: In total, I've worked as a Spanish teacher for 9 years!
During the last three years I've worked at a language school in Barcelona, teaching Spanish to groups of students.
I also have extensive experience in private lessons. I can provide some reference letters: please just let me know! :)
