About Adrienne
I have taught Spanish at a Research 1 university and a smaller land-grant university.
I have also taught in public schools in rural, suburban, and metropolitan disctricts, in addition to private boarding high schools.
I make connections with students through getting to know them and understanding what interests them and what their motivations are.
I attend conferences, such as ACTFL and AATSP, to maintain my knowledge of current learning trends in language acquisition.

I offer student-centered lessons focused on communication using the 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing).
I also incorporate the ACTFL 5 Cs (communication, connections, cultures, community, comparisons) and “Can do” statements to help make my lessons pedagogically sound.
I also can tailor my lessons to various state standards. However, the most important thing is focusing on your student’s needs.
