About Ellie

I am a dedicated and motivated Spanish tutor with a strong academic background in the subject, having achieved an A in Higher Spanish. I have a solid understanding of the Nat 5 and Higher curriculum and the skills required to succeed in exams, including grammar accuracy, reading comprehension, writing techniques, and oral communication.

Although I am new to formal tutoring, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and improve their performance in Spanish. I understand the challenges students face and aim to create a calm, encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My approach is patient, structured, and supportive. I focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and reinforcing learning through practice and repetition. I am committed to adapting my teaching style to suit each individual student’s needs and learning style.

I am particularly suited to working with Nat 5 and Higher Spanish students (typically ages 13–18), whether they are aiming to improve their grades, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or prepare effectively for exams.

About the lesson

I take a supportive and structured approach to tutoring Spanish, focusing on building confidence, understanding, and exam success. My teaching style is patient and clear, breaking down complex grammar and vocabulary into simple, manageable steps. I also use active recall, practice questions, and exam-style exercises to help students improve their retention and performance.

Each lesson is typically 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and goals. Sessions are interactive and tailored, combining explanation, guided practice, and independent work, with regular feedback to ensure progress.

I have achieved an A in Higher Spanish, giving me strong recent knowledge of the Nat 5 and Higher course content and exam requirements. While I am new to formal tutoring, I understand the course well and focus on helping students succeed through clear explanations and structured learning.

These lessons are suitable for Nat 5 and Higher Spanish students, typically aged 13–18, whether they are aiming to improve their grades, build confidence, or prepare for exams.
