About Renata
Spent 5 years as a substitute teacher with Clayton County and then proceeded to teach Spanish at New Generation Academy. Teaching Spanish K-12. Spent the majority of my time at NGA teaching middle and high school students. Teaching Spanish I and II with an emphasis in pronunciation, functional vocabulary related to everyday life, cultural information and basic grammatical structures. With an emphasis on the acquisition of four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. There were two main objectives to the course: The First is to give the students the ability to carry on a conversation. The second is to provide the students with instruction that teaches understanding of Spanish culture, vocabulary, and grammatical concepts.

I like the student centered approach. Where teachers and students play an equally active role in the learning process.
My primary role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like group projects, student portfolios, and class participation. This way teaching and assessment are connected because student learning is continuously measured .
