About Isabella
From 6th-12th grade I studied Spanish in school, from online to IB. I got a 7 on the IB SL Spanish exam. I was also fortunate enough to study abroad (which I HIGHLY recommend) in Mexico with UF for 5 weeks in 2022, where I stayed with a host family and became very comfortable talking to locals. I confirmed I still remember a lot when I went on a mission trip to Puerto Rico in 2024 and 2025. I would of course brush up on whatever you want to learn in advance, but most importantly I’m there to guide you while you practice, since it takes at least two to communicate.

Languages are best learned socially, especially reading and listening. I will give you a comfortable ungraded environment to practice without judgment and help you figure out how to get content to stick. I’ll have ideas for activities and make Spanish fun and relevant to real life so you could actually use it when you travel, not just pass an exam. Immersion is really the best way to learn but no matter what having other people doing it with you helps the most. I think appreciating the culture is important (in IB it’s required to study it) but it also just makes it all so much easier to remember because you are connecting what you learn to memorable things - like weird traditions or cool festivals.
