About Smille

I am a passionate drum tutor with 9 years of experience teaching students from high school, college, and even elderly age groups. Over the 9 years, I have taught around 150 to 200 students, helping them discover the joy, discipline, and confidence that music can bring. Teaching is not only what I do—it is what I truly love. My teaching journey began with a simple goal: to make drum learning easy and enjoyable for everyone. Today, many of my students can confidently perform on stage, play in bands, and participate in music events. Seeing their growth and success is my greatest professional achievement. I strongly believe that every student learns differently. That is why I always adjust my lessons based on each learner’s needs, pace, and goals. I focus on strong basics, correct techniques, rhythm control, and musical understanding. I also encourage regular practice in a positive and stress-free way. For elderly learners, I use gentle exercises that improve focus, coordination, and enjoyment. For students who wish to perform, I focus on stage confidence and performance skills. I teach in a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My mission is not only to create skilled drummers but also confident individuals who enjoy learning. I take great pride in being a part of my students’ musical journeys.

About the lesson

My drum teaching methodology is simple, practical, and student-focused. I use real-life examples and case studies from real performances, recordings, and practice sessions. This helps students understand how drum patterns are used in real music. Instead of just learning exercises, students learn how to apply rhythms in songs and live playing. Motivation is a key part of my lessons. I create a positive learning environment where students feel confident to try, fail, and improve. I give regular encouragement and track their progress to keep them inspired. I also apply strong problem-solving techniques. When students face challenges with coordination, tempo, or stamina, I use easy drills and creative practice methods to help them overcome these problems. Integrity guides my teaching values. I give honest feedback and teach students the importance of discipline, respect, and consistency. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons for beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my pace and methods as needed. In addition to drums, I also teach rhythm training, basic music theory, keyboard basics, and performance preparation.
