About Mpendulo
I have over three years of tutoring experience across high school and university level. I currently serve as a Tutor at Durban University of Technology, where I support students aged 18–22 in Mathematics and theory-based modules. My role involves breaking down complex concepts into simple explanations, guiding students through problem-solving processes, and helping them build academic confidence. I also previously worked as a Home School Tutor with Brainline Online Learning, where I monitored learner progress, explained subject content clearly, and supported structured learning at home.
My teaching methodology focuses on clarity, patience, and student-centered learning. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I emphasize practical understanding, critical thinking, and interactive discussion rather than memorization. For beginners especially, I focus on building foundational confidence, improving pronunciation, and developing natural conversational skills step by step.
I am currently completing my degree, which strengthens my academic foundation and communication skills. My subject expertise includes Mathematics, Life Sciences, Geography, Physical Sciences, and theory-based university modules. My tutoring background has equipped me with strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to teach learners from different backgrounds effectively.
