About Katherine

Hi, I’m Katherine — a native Spanish speaker coming from a Colombian family with experience teaching students from Canada and around the world. I help students develop real confidence speaking Spanish through lessons that are structured, engaging, and personalized to their goals.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and conversation-focused. I know that learning a new language can feel intimidating at first, so I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking naturally, making mistakes, and improving step by step without pressure.

I work with both beginners and advanced students, whether you want to improve your conversational Spanish, pronunciation, grammar, or overall fluency. My lessons are organized and goal-oriented, but also dynamic and enjoyable, because I believe students learn best when they genuinely look forward to class.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy modeling, fitness, music, fashion, and connecting with people from different cultures, which helps keep my classes interesting, modern, and easy to relate to.

If you’re looking for a tutor who is professional, supportive, and genuinely invested in your progress, I’d love to help you reach your Spanish goals.

About the lesson

My classes are designed for students who want to speak Spanish confidently in real-life situations, not just memorize grammar rules. I focus on practical communication, natural conversation, and helping students feel comfortable using Spanish from the very beginning.

My teaching style is structured but relaxed. I combine conversation-based learning with clear explanations in English when needed, so students can improve quickly without feeling overwhelmed. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, pace, and interests, which keeps classes engaging, effective, and easy to stay motivated with.

In class, we focus on:
• Real-life conversation and communication
• Natural pronunciation and flow
• Useful vocabulary for everyday situations
• Building confidence while speaking
• Clear corrections and practical feedback

A typical lesson may include:
• A casual conversation warm-up
• New vocabulary, expressions, or grammar structures
• Guided speaking practice and interactive exercises
• Real-world scenarios like travel, dating, business, fitness, social situations, or daily life
• Feedback and strategies to continue improving outside of class

As a native Spanish speaker with strong Colombian family roots and vast experience teaching international students, I help learners understand how Spanish is actually spoken in everyday conversations — naturally, confidently, and with cultural context. My goal is to make lessons feel productive, comfortable, and enjoyable while helping students make noticeable progress.

My classes are ideal for:
• Beginners starting from zero
• Intermediate and advanced students improving fluency
• Professionals learning Spanish for work or networking
• Travelers wanting to communicate naturally abroad
• Students interested in conversational and culturally natural Spanish

Every class is personalized for motivated students who want real improvement, practical speaking skills, and a learning experience that feels both professional and enjoyable.
