About Deepika
My name is Deepika P. I earned a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. During Ph.D., I assisted many graduate and undergraduate students in subjects of Applied behavior, psychology, microbiology. I was offered a part-time professional tutoring position at Butler Community College, Pittsburgh. Currently, I am working with children with special needs at a public school. Intensive teaching and managing the behavior challenged students to have autism spectrum, ADD/ADHD, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, speech impairments, and non-compliant behavior.
I feel lucky that I have the ability, knowledge, and passion for teaching children with multiple disabilities and helping them to find their goal for a meaningful life, education, and career success. I have years of tutoring experience, and my solid education, commitment, and ongoing professional development provide additional assistance to any student who needed extra help to achieve Their educational goal.
My first philosophy is to spend the necessary time building the right relationships with my students and families. My years of experience have taught me the value of patience and encouragement in the special education classroom. I work closely with each student, providing the individualized support and praise they require. I also make sure to stay connected with family members with strict school policies. End of the day, my goal is to encourage each student's success, both in and outside of the classroom. I’ve genuinely appreciated and learned from every child and every family I have worked with. I cannot imagine having any other job other than what I am doing; i.e., working with special needs children!

My teaching method is based on the Applied Behavior Analysis. I have years of experience to help creating a special lesson plan depending upon my student’s ability. In this pandemic situation i made my lesson for digital friendly for my special need friends.
Whiteboard, google meet and zoom meeting are the best platform to deliver a touch-less and meaningful resource for session.
